Do your weekend plans include painting? Are you wondering how to remove and get the oil-based paint off your skin and out of your hair after? If so, we have a tip to help make cleanup a breeze. Before you get started, massage a few drops of jojoba onto exposed areas: hands, arms, legs, and hair. Pre-conditioning your skin with jojoba makes it easier to remove oil-based or latex paint or stains from your skin and your hair.

After you’ve finished the job, clean up your brushes and your skin with jojoba. You won’t need harsh chemicals. Wrap your cleaned brushes in tin foil and store them for the next use. They will not be hard and brittle when you need them again.

One last tip: You may mix small amounts of the jojoba with oil-based paint and stain to improve the flow from the brush, reduce brush marks, and improve penetration. The blend will take longer to dry. You’ll need to experiment to achieve the best balance between jojoba and paint.

Since jojoba is a wax ester, it will help condition the skin and hair making it easier to remove paint, especially latex paint. There’s no need to use harsh chemicals to remove paint from skin, use our all-natural product and make cleanup quick and easy! We have yet to try massaging a drop of jojoba into natural bristle brushes before and after painting, but we think it would be beneficial to keep bristles soft and make brushes easier to clean. If you use natural bristle brushes let us know how this works.
