Essential oil of juniper is woodsy and of course, reminded us of a great gin. Like rosemary, juniper stimulates the brain and helps reduce fatigue and depression. Juniper is also a tonic, meaning that it tones all systems, which of course is great, especially for the skin of the face. Juniper tonic is said to promote beard growth, decrease hair loss, and help with the symptoms of dandruff.

Essential oil of rosemary is reported to be valuable for a wide variety of reasons, from stimulating hair growth to boosting the immune system. Studies show that rosemary essential oil increases hair growth, making it grow stronger and longer. It’s also beneficial for dryness and flakiness, which can happen when to your facial skin when you have a beard. Probably the best reason to use rosemary essential oil is because it stimulates mental activity. It is reported to increase concentration and reduce cortisol levels in saliva.

Essential oil of lemon is calming and is said to help reduce mental fatigue, nervousness, and anxiety. It is said to be very useful for the skin, rejuvenating tired skin and it is said to be helpful in the treatment of acne and other skin issues.

Geranium oil promotes cell health and a long-lasting deodorizing effect, not a bad thing at all. It’s a long lasting scent, so you’ll still smell the floral/mint scent of this oil after the other oils have lost their robustness. Geranium is also useful in the treatment of acne, dermatitis, and other skin issues.

There are a few precautions with any essential oils: Never use undiluted, in eyes or around mucus membranes. Do not ingest. Keep away from children and do not use essential oil on children or pets unless directed by a professional (cats in particular are very sensitive to essential oils, never use on cats). Avoid while pregnant and with homeopathics. May cause skin irritation (test on a small patch of skin in an insensitive portion of your body with proper dilution rate).
